Drama Club

Led by Miss Gilbert

Meets Monday - Thursday from 2:30-4:30 pm

The Drama Club provides students with dedicated rehearsal time beyond what is taught in theater classes. Members work together to prepare for plays and musicals, gaining hands-on experience in acting, directing, and stage production. Under the direction of Ms. Gilbert, the theater teacher, and with occasional help from other performing arts teachers—Ms. Jessup (Dance), Mr. Walker (Band), Dr. Perryman (Choir)—as well as other teachers who volunteer to assist or perform in the shows, students develop performance techniques, explore character work, and learn the many elements that go into putting on a production. This year’s fall production is Camp Stowaways, which will be performed on November 13th and 14th. After a short break for the winter holidays, rehearsals will resume for the spring production, to be announced after winter break. Drama Club is a fun, collaborative way to build confidence, creativity, and teamwork—both on stage and behind the scenes.
