Background

O.T. Bonner Middle School was named after Oscar Thomas Bonner, a respected educator and administrator in Danville, Virginia. He served as the superintendent of Danville Public Schools from 1944 to 1957. Bonner was highly regarded for his dedication to improving education in the area, and the school was named in his honor to recognize his significant contributions to the local school system during his tenure.

The Bonner family will work together to provide every student a safe, equitable, and appropriate education that is rigorous, relevant, and aligned to state and local standards in order to prepare students to be high school, college, and career-ready.
